Fish in front of Campulongu beach in Villasimius

We add new photos of fish in Villasimius, on the Campulongu beach in front of the Residence la Chimera.

This summer, the sea in Villasimius was a true paradise, on the beach of Campulongu we had never seen so many fish, of all species and of such large size, it really seemed like swimming in a tropical aquarium. Since the photos of fish on our website were already a few years old, we decided to put new ones. Here are some photos of this true spectacle of nature.

I remind you that the entire area of Villasimius is a Marine Protected Area, that fishing is prohibited, but for underwater photography enthusiasts it is a riot of saddled breams, salema, white bream, black-eared wheatears and kingfish. Since fishing is prohibited and no one bothers them, the fish are absolutely not afraid of humans. You can swim among the flock. The fish do not run away, on the contrary, they will eat the bread from your hands.

The transparency of the water is exceptional. The view is perfect even from tens of meters away.

In addition to fish of all species, on the beach of Campulongu and in various others in Villasimius you can also see starfish.

Among the various fish present in the area we point out the triggerfish. They are tropical fish, coming from the Red Sea, that have settled perfectly in the clear waters of Villasimius.

The sea bass come right up to the shore and swim undisturbed between the feet of the bathers.

If you also want to experience swimming in this pristine sea, book a holiday at Residence la Chimera now, we will help you make this dream come true.
